In our family of emerging businesses, Albany applies the technologies of paper machine clothing to the development of unique materials and structures for a variety of other industries. As a global leader in PMC, we became the first global PMC supplier to establish a dryer fabrics production plant in Panyu, Guangzhou city in 1995, followed by the establishment of a sales representative office in Shanghai. This was later replaced by the Albany International (China) Co., Ltd. Shanghai branch, which was set up in 2004.

Albany International has invested approximately USD100 million in China, building a brand new PMC manufacturing facility in Hangzhou that is completed by 2008. The new facility is serving as the headquarters of Albany’s Pacific Business Corridor. This is by far the largest and the most technologically advanced PMC facility in China and also the biggest single investment in the company’s 116-year history. It reflects our continuing commitment to our valued customers in the region and will provide the strongest local supply base of PMC to accelerate the growth of their businesses.
